Where can I get a free breast screening in Dubai this October?

The best thing you can do this month costs nothing. Pink Caravan, run by the Friends of Cancer Patients charity, has a free screening clinic at City Walk all of October, plus clinics in every other emirate and mobile clinics that visit malls, offices and neighbourhoods. Men can be checked too. We have listed every location in our guide to free Pink Caravan mammograms in the UAE.

What is Pinktober?

Pinktober is the nickname for October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, when brands, landmarks and restaurants turn pink to raise money and remind people to get checked. In the UAE, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, and finding it early makes a huge difference to the outcome.

Which charity gets the money?

Most of the Dubai deals donate to the Al Jalila Foundation, the Dubai charity that funds medical research and treatment, including cancer research. SUSHISAMBA Abu Dhabi donates to the Emirates Cancer Society. Ladurée and ANA have not said that a part of the price is donated, so pick one of the others if giving is the point.

Eat pink, then get checked

Book the Carine table if you want every dirham to count, go to HANU for the prettiest dessert, and make it a Mott 32 or SUSHISAMBA brunch if you want the view. Then put a free Pink Caravan screening in your calendar, for you or for someone you love.
