Dubai has no shortage of open mic nights. What it has fewer of is a competition that has been running long enough for people to actually build a reputation through it. Lucky Voice Got Talent has been going since the venue opened its doors in Barsha Heights, and the seventh edition is underway right now — with three audition nights still left to enter.
The prize pool sits at over AED 30,000 across the top three places, including a recording studio deal for the winner. Entry costs AED 69, and that amount comes straight back to you as food and drinks credit on the night.
What is Lucky Voice Got Talent?
It is a karaoke-based singing competition held at Lucky Voice, the karaoke venue on Level 6 of the Grand Millennium Hotel in Barsha Heights. Contestants get three minutes on stage to perform in front of a panel of industry judges and a live audience.
Six previous seasons have gone through the venue. Across those, the competition has pulled in over 100 participants and around 500 live audience members, with Lucky Voice itself averaging roughly 2,000 guests a week. This year’s auditions are drawing 150-plus people per audition night, building toward a grand final in front of a room of over 350.
It is open to solo performers and to groups. Musical instruments are allowed, which is worth knowing if you are the kind of person who would rather bring a guitar than sing over a backing track. Entry is open to guests aged 21 and above.
Judges are not just there to score — they provide mentorship to contestants as the competition progresses, which is a large part of why performers keep coming back for later seasons.

Why the venue is doing this
It has been a difficult stretch for hospitality and live entertainment in the city, and for the performers who depend on those rooms staying open.
Peter Mukanyima, Assistant Director of Marketing & E-Commerce at Grand Millennium Hotel Dubai, framed the seventh edition as a response to that — describing it as the venue’s way of standing alongside the music community and giving artists a platform to be seen and heard. He noted the competition has grown into something the community looks forward to each season, and that every year makes clear how much talent in the city is waiting for a stage.
Whether or not you take that at face value, the practical effect is the same — there are very few places in Dubai where an unsigned singer can get three minutes in front of a full room and a panel of industry people without paying for the privilege.
Where is Lucky Voice Dubai?
